At the time of this creation, it is 6 degrees outside. But the consolation that Spring is just about two weeks ahead brings forth joy. As a gardener, I am conscious that March, which produces the Spring season, is often sketchy here in Colorado. Nonetheless, even though I have opted out of having a large summer garden this year, yet still, the idea that gardeners can place seeds in the ground very soon is exhilarating.
We know that seeds planted in life sprout with preparation and proper care. With these, seeds can grow into nutritious food, clothing material, great trees that offer shade, and those that share their hearts to keep us warm. In addition, when the idea of seeds is presented metaphorically, again through preparation, knowledge, and great care, they can sprout into helping agents, thoughts, and ideas that secure livelihoods. And, even so, these elements must continuously be protected from the destructions caused by human’s intrinsic natures of deceit, spitefulness, and grandeur. We see these same components in the world today and even in some daily interactions.
Tempted as I am to share on recent experiences concerning this matter, I digress. I digress because I know that God must lead this discussion. My acquaintance with the solitude of God brings me here. Though while getting ready a few days ago, this thought appeared “It is challenging to stay mad at people who don’t know God.” At this moment, I also thought, “Though I must be extremely cautious, it becomes a waste of precious time to give to the energy of anger. Disappointment? Maybe!” When observing people who should know what God asks of us and still blasphemes Him for the sake of wealth, I must address specific interior perceptions daily. And I know that God endows me with all the necessary strength and victories to move through them and to fight for Him eloquently.
I reflect now on David and his beautiful words of thanksgiving to God. We see this all over the Psalms, but today my primary focus is on Psalm 45:6-8, more importantly, Psalm 144 (Go see). Right here in Psalm 144, I keep thankfulness for victory over Satan, who will work through those who do not know God. I refuse to call this idiot anything than what he is, ‘SATAN’ (2 Corinthians 2:11). I call him by name so that he knows I will not be manipulated or deceivably dumped on. The pronouncement of his name upon my lips seals my protection. My intense faith in our all-knowing King Jesus, and His beautiful Spirit, fosters triumphs! No disparity and no defeat.
In life, some giggle at doing things, getting things done! But as I know it, in specific instances, others are oblivious that their perceived right way is often the wrong way of doing the right thing. What great opportunities we have to become God-honored students. What great options we have, to be obedient? To control our thoughts and actions when Satan tries to casually stroll into them.
We should never permit anyone to destroy our faithfulness. More so, the people who don’t know God. Let’s continue to live in His ethical purity of our uncomplicated and straightforward faith. The only faith I know of, which eagerly gladdens the heart.
As we grow together,
Char
Dear Char, thank you for the basis spelled out for us. In an old phrase, “You may be the only Bible some will ever read.” I see that as meaningful still.
Hi Susan,
You are so kind.
Thanks so much!
